My Dad...Jerry Emerson Sr.

This is an update on what happened to my dad a year ago on the 16th of August year 2015.
here is my dad in 2011 in the smokey mountains. He was messing around and scaring me because I have a fear of heights. So like daddy to scare me. LOL

This was taken when he went with Ann & Lonnie to visit my baby brother in South Carolina. Months before the incident. I wanted to say accident. But that would not be factual at all. So I call it an incident.

This was taken in 2009 at my house in Centerville Tennessee. We threw a family reunion.  He loves to eat.

So now that I have showed you the photos of my dad here. Let me move onto the story about last August 16, 2014 around noonish in McCrory, Arkansas. His home town where he lived in an apartment by himself since the passing of my mother in 2012.  Well after he stayed with Vicki Sue for a while. And then he moved out into his own apartment in town.
My dad and a neighbor of his was sitting outside the apartment.. When his neighbor got up to go in for coffee (I believe it was coffee). He came back out and daddy was not there. He saw (his own words) Sonny Peevey at the end of the apartment complex.  So since the details are so uncertain at this time. I will just skip ahead and tell you in my own words what I know. My dad was jumped and beaten and left to die. He was drowning in his own vomit when a woman found him and helped him. Thank God she knew what to do. But he was beaten so bad that he had to be life flighted to Memphis hospital. Where he slipped into a coma for about 3 weeks. There was severe damage done to his face and head. He now has seizures and has been forced into dementia full force now. He does not remember anything about what happened. He has memory issues he may know me one minute and the next he does not remember me. But those memory losses are fleeting and quick.  He is not able to walk unattended now. He falls down. He is in the bed more than in his wheelchair. He had to be placed into a nursing home because of the medical issues. He needs 24 hour care now.   My dad went from a very active man who loved to travel from Arkansas to Tennessee where he would visit with his brothers and myself. To a man that can no longer care for himself.
And the saddest and most horrible thing is that the guys responsible are still out there walking free. No one has been arrested. And there is I believe a major cover up with the chief of police behind the whole thing. And I know someone saw something. Because NOTHING goes unnoticed in McCrory. Where every fucking one knows when you fart in that town....
Warning!!!! Some of the images may be a little disturbing to some people. But here are photos of my dad in the hospital. Understand my dad is 74 (73 at the time) years old.

This was immediately after the attempted murder (yes I call it that because that is what it was. He was beaten and left for dead)
This is my dad in the coma a few days before he came out of it.
This photo was taken a week or so ago. He just got his hair cut by my sister Vicki.  He looks real good here. I miss my old daddy the one that was always on the go.  I miss him coming up for visits.
Well this is my update on what happened to my dad. As soon as someone is brought to justice for this cruel act I will once again up date this blog.

Omg I just remembered I had this site. It has been at least 3 years. WOW. So here is an update now. We have moved from Sunset lane to Thomas Ave in Columbia. Chucky is back home to help out with the rent and the bills. We are in a 2 story house with a full basement. In February of this month Chucky's girlfriend Brittany Clay came down for a visit. She went back home on March 22nd. Only to move back in the following month. Chucky went to Ohio to pick her up on the 3rd. They came home on the 5th.
This was taken in February 2015. The day she got here in Tennessee.

Photo shoot of the kids, taken in March of this year (2015). Taken at Maury County Park in Columbia Tennessee, By me (BScottPhotos)

Met Brittany's parents in June 2015. Melissa and Mark Clay. Such a wonderful couple. We really enjoyed meeting them. Chucky asked Mark for his daughters hand outside on their last night here. (took him a while to get up the courage).

This was a family cookout. Originally this was to be the Emerson Family Reunion. Photo taken on June 13, 2015. I have stopped throwing the reunions.
Vacation in The Great Smokey Mountains. Cabin was, "A Dream's View".  Vacation date: July 5-9th, 2015

Chucky got down on his knee and proposed to his love on July 7th under the shark tank at the Ripley's Aquarium in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. And "She said YES".

Family camping trip in Heber. This year only the girls and their families minus Justin was able to be there. Chucky and Brittany were not able to come due to his job. And Timothy is in jail. Date: July 24-26, 2015 Had a blast. Emma turned 3 on the last day we were there. We  had to miss her party so we could get back to McCrory to visit with daddy at the nursing home. Now that is a long story. But I am doing it in a new blog.
So that is a little of what all has happened since last I logged into this site. Now that I have found it I will once again start blogging. I loved to write, so I shall be back on here more often. May start blogging on what is going on in my head. And how I am feeling on days I blog. Better to get these feelings out since I really have no one to talk to in person since I lost my mom. I will make sure no family is following these post first. Weird but in a sense I want to keep these private from family.

Update on my life....

A lot has happened to me since first starting this blog thingy. My 3 older kids have all married now. I have a total of 11 grand kids now. Earlier this year my mother-n-law past away. And then a few months later in June I lost my mother. That was devastating to me. She just went so fast. March she was walking talking and a little goofy in the head due to her stroke. And then all of a sudden she was bed ridden and completely lost in her mind in just 2 months. I was shocked at the drastic change that occurred in such a short time. She is now with her whole family. Aunt Maureen is gone, taken by cancer and Aunt Elsie right after and then Aunt Pat a month or so before mom.

I had a great job working in the home of 2 mentally handicapped guys. That last a few months. Until the lead staff got worried that I was going to take her job from her, so she got me taken out of the house by telling lies to my client's  brother. So the company had no real choice but to remove me from the house. They wanted me to go to another house. But the house they wanted me to go to was not acceptable to me. The female client has really severe behavioral issues that I can not deal with. I truthfully told my employer that I could not take the offer cause I would more than likely end up in jail. So he did not push it.

We (my husband and I ) went on our vacation with my stepson and his new bride to the smokey mountains in Gatlinburg Tennessee. We stayed in the cabin that we first stayed in with mom and dad. It was a little hard on me. But I was able to take comfort in her presence in the cabin. we had such a great time with them. We went September 29th through October 6, 2012. Got to actually see live Bears in Cades Coves this year. Was so cool. I got to brave and got pretty close to take pictures.

Yes I could live in the Smokey Mountains. It is so beautiful there. We relaxed in the hot tub on the balcony at night. And played a pool and shared in laughter. Also got to eat at a few great places in Gatlinburg and at Pigeon Forge. But the first night in the mountain we have to eat at Mel's Diner. We have been there for Three Vacations now. Next year will be number Four. Below are a few vacation pics I would like to share on here.
