here is my dad in 2011 in the smokey mountains. He was messing around and scaring me because I have a fear of heights. So like daddy to scare me. LOL
This was taken when he went with Ann & Lonnie to visit my baby brother in South Carolina. Months before the incident. I wanted to say accident. But that would not be factual at all. So I call it an incident.
This was taken in 2009 at my house in Centerville Tennessee. We threw a family reunion. He loves to eat.
So now that I have showed you the photos of my dad here. Let me move onto the story about last August 16, 2014 around noonish in McCrory, Arkansas. His home town where he lived in an apartment by himself since the passing of my mother in 2012. Well after he stayed with Vicki Sue for a while. And then he moved out into his own apartment in town.
My dad and a neighbor of his was sitting outside the apartment.. When his neighbor got up to go in for coffee (I believe it was coffee). He came back out and daddy was not there. He saw (his own words) Sonny Peevey at the end of the apartment complex. So since the details are so uncertain at this time. I will just skip ahead and tell you in my own words what I know. My dad was jumped and beaten and left to die. He was drowning in his own vomit when a woman found him and helped him. Thank God she knew what to do. But he was beaten so bad that he had to be life flighted to Memphis hospital. Where he slipped into a coma for about 3 weeks. There was severe damage done to his face and head. He now has seizures and has been forced into dementia full force now. He does not remember anything about what happened. He has memory issues he may know me one minute and the next he does not remember me. But those memory losses are fleeting and quick. He is not able to walk unattended now. He falls down. He is in the bed more than in his wheelchair. He had to be placed into a nursing home because of the medical issues. He needs 24 hour care now. My dad went from a very active man who loved to travel from Arkansas to Tennessee where he would visit with his brothers and myself. To a man that can no longer care for himself.
And the saddest and most horrible thing is that the guys responsible are still out there walking free. No one has been arrested. And there is I believe a major cover up with the chief of police behind the whole thing. And I know someone saw something. Because NOTHING goes unnoticed in McCrory. Where every fucking one knows when you fart in that town....
Warning!!!! Some of the images may be a little disturbing to some people. But here are photos of my dad in the hospital. Understand my dad is 74 (73 at the time) years old.
This was immediately after the attempted murder (yes I call it that because that is what it was. He was beaten and left for dead)
This is my dad in the coma a few days before he came out of it.
This photo was taken a week or so ago. He just got his hair cut by my sister Vicki. He looks real good here. I miss my old daddy the one that was always on the go. I miss him coming up for visits.
Well this is my update on what happened to my dad. As soon as someone is brought to justice for this cruel act I will once again up date this blog.
